Pamela Philpott brings a rich background in healthcare and community service, making her a valuable addition to the Gwinnett County Community Development Corporation board. Born in Ottawa, Canada, Pamela has always been active in her community from a young age. She participated in various extracurricular activities, including basketball, Girl Guides of Canada, Canadian Girls in Training, and InterSchool Christian Fellowship.
Pamela pursued higher education at the University of Ottawa, where she earned a degree in Nursing. Throughout her professional career, she has garnered extensive experience in the healthcare industry. Pamela has served as a hospital nurse, a community nurse, and has experience in midwifery, showcasing her versatility and commitment to healthcare. For more than three and a half decades Pam has applied the knowledge, skills and experience she gained in her professional life to volunteer community service, most notably with the Crisis Pregnancy Centers and Family Promise as well as numerous school support roles.
Currently residing in Snellville, GA, Pamela’s career has been characterized by her dedication to patient care and community health. Her work as a community nurse highlights her ability to connect with and support individuals and families in various settings, a skill that aligns well with the mission of the Gwinnett County Community Development Corporation.
Pamela’s hands-on experience in healthcare, coupled with her background in community engagement, positions her to contribute significantly to the organization’s objectives.
