These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of gwinnetttransitionalhousing.org (the “Site”), operated by Gwinnett County Community Development Corporation, doing business as “GCCDC” (“GCCDC,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By accessing or using the Site, you agree to these Terms and to our [Privacy Policy]. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.

1) Who We Are

GCCDC is a community-focused nonprofit organization supporting housing stability and wraparound services. References to “programs” include transitional housing, supportive services, volunteer efforts, and related initiatives.

2) Eligibility & Use of the Site

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Site.

If you create an account or submit an application, you represent that all information is accurate and that you will keep it updated.

You may not use the Site for any illegal or unauthorized purpose, or in a manner that could damage, disable, or impair the Site.

3) Program Applications & No Guarantee

Submitting an inquiry or application does not guarantee program admission, financial assistance, or services. Eligibility, availability, and approvals are determined by program criteria, capacity, funding, and applicable laws. We may require additional documents, references, and background checks (with your consent where required).

4) Volunteer & Partner Terms

Volunteers and partner organizations may be subject to separate onboarding requirements, background checks (with consent where required), codes of conduct, confidentiality obligations, and scheduling policies.

5) Donations, Receipts & Refunds

Donations are generally non-refundable. If a donation was made in error, contact us promptly and we will review in good faith.

We issue tax receipts for eligible contributions to the extent allowed by law.

6) Informational Purpose & No Professional Advice

Site content is for general informational purposes only and is not legal, medical, financial, housing, or professional advice. Always seek the advice of a qualified professional for your specific situation.

7) Intellectual Property

All content on the Site (text, graphics, logos, images, videos, and software) is owned by GCCDC or its licensors and protected by intellectual-property laws. You are granted a limited, revocable license to access and use the Site for noncommercial, informational purposes. You may not copy, modify, distribute, mirror, or create derivative works without our prior written consent.

8) User Submissions

If you submit content (e.g., forms, feedback), you grant GCCDC a nonexclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, and display such content solely to operate and improve the Site and programs. You represent that you own or have permission to submit such content, and that it does not infringe the rights of others.

9) Third-Party Services & Links

The Site may link to or integrate with third-party sites and services (e.g., payment processors, background check providers, analytics). We are not responsible for their content, terms, or policies.

10) SMS & Email Communications

By providing your phone number or email, you consent to receive communications about applications, programs, volunteering, donations, and updates. Message and data rates may apply. You can opt out of SMS by replying STOP and opt out of emails via the unsubscribe link.

11) Accessibility

We strive to make our Site accessible. If you experience barriers, contact us (see Section 17).

12) Prohibited Activities

You agree not to:

Reverse engineer or interfere with the Site;

Upload malware or harmful code;

Harvest data or engage in unauthorized scraping;

Misrepresent your identity or affiliation;

Use the Site to harass, threaten, or harm others.

13) Disclaimers

THE SITE AND CONTENT ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, GCCDC DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SITE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE.

14) Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, GCCDC AND ITS DIRECTORS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, VOLUNTEERS, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL. IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR TOTAL LIABILITY EXCEED $100 OR THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.

15) Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless GCCDC and its personnel from and against any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses arising out of your use of the Site or violation of these Terms.

16) Changes to the Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes take effect upon posting with a revised “Last updated” date. Continued use of the Site constitutes acceptance.
